In 2015 the Diocese celebrated 30 years of its existence. The Archbishop attended 30th anniversary celebrations during a visit from 9th to 14th November.
The 16th Diocesan Synod will be held on 2nd July 2016 when there will be reflection on the first five years of the Diocesan Integrated Ministry Strategic Plan 2011-2020.
In April 2016 the bishop of Mississippi USA visited the diocese and confirmed over 600 during his stay.
