A large portion of the staff and office space at St. Paul's Cathedral is dedicated to The Young and Powerful Initiative (YAPI), a programme seeking to promote physical and economic health in the huge young demographic of the diocesan region. In most of its programs, YAPI is an implementing partner,
meaning we have submitted project proposals to sponsoring organizations whose goals align with ours, entered into MOUs with them agreeing to help carry out activities toward a shared vision. These projects have defined end-dates, and therefore the organization of YAPI is continually shifting as projects come and go. However, the mission to serve our neighbours in the name of Christ, and work for their rights, health, and prosperity, will always be the center of what we do and why we do it. |
Current YAPI projects:
Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) - partnered with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC)
Maternal Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) - partnered with Save the Children International (SCI)
Youth Empowerment Support (YES) - partnered with Save the Children International (SCI)
